Technology is the advancement of tools, for a better and more efficient new tool. Technology is basically the way humans improve old tools or items into new one with more uses or better uses.
Lots of items have been developed; 5 of the ones most used by us are:
- Cellphone
- i-pod
- Laptop
- Cars
- Television
- Airplanes
- Lawnmowers
- Microwaves
- Hairdryers
- Vacuum cleaners

I find it very interesting that you chose these particular things as the technology that you most often and least often use. I definitely agree that middle schoolers at AES use cell phones, iPods, cars, laptops, and TV alot. However, I do not think that you realize how much we use airplanes,microwaves and lawnmowers. You yourself would not be at AES if you didn't use an airplane to get here from Peru or Italy or where ever. I also doubt that that was the only time you've been in an airplane. Even if it was, you've probably used a cigar cutter much less often that an airplane. Microwaves too are used quite often by most people. A lot of food at restaurants, fast food in particular, has been heated by a microwave. One thing I liked a lot about your post was the definition of technology. I think that this is a good, specific definition that really captures what it means exactly for something to be considered technology.
